It goes along the drive shaft and mounts to the transmission tail shaft housing and differential.

So got a link to what you are talking about?

Is it for a C4

or for a C4 suspension when fitted into one of Newmans many different chassis that require something to mount the front of the diff to?

Hence the need for a link to what you are referring to,
given there is no torque arm on a C4

OP...help us, help YOU.

Vettoz, he may be talking about this:

OP: this would be mounted on the rear diff, and then attached to the floor pan somewhere forward near the rear of the trans (depending on the vehicle). It is to be used in a car other than a C4 Corvette, that is using C4 Corvette rear suspension/diff.

This thing looks like an Fbody torque arm.

Tom is correct.

Thats an aftermarket part used to swap a C4 Corvette Independant Rear Suspension into other cars.

Since most other cars have a tranny crossmember and a very small trans tunnel there is no need or room or the factory C-Beam.... but since they still need a way to secure the pinion of the new IRS they mfgr'd this TQ Arm.

Wrong side of the Diff.

That and it looks way prettier than that F-body slab of stamped steel..
