I know I have seen 429 and I think there are some 43x motors out there. I think I read somewhere on here recently that someone was going to do a 454?( I don't see how) I would just do a 396 or a 409. I think above this you are getting on the edge and longevity will be an issue. Probably better to start with a 400 block and go from there.

I'd say if you're going anything more than .060" over .. either get sleaves put in there, or just get a bigger block. The highest I've ever seen is a 429 as well. Highest in person is a 402.
