I had the vette out today, and just cruising around. As I took off from a stop light, I was in the throttle about 75% and the car seemed to not pull like it should thru the whole powerband. It seemed to hesitate every once in a while. I tried it again from another stop later and the same thing. Now its not like its stalling or missing, it is just a slight hesitation. Anyone have any ideas????
no pull them plugs and check for signs of anything that might be wrong, detonation, carbon deposits, preignition etc.
I know what to look for, but I dont understand how the last time I drove the car it was rock solid, now it has a little hesitation. Would bad gas cause this or not?
The last time I filled it up, I put in the regular stuff, got distracted by some bum trying to get some money from me, and it was first thing in the morning too, so I wasnt quite awake yet. By the time I realized it, I had put a full tank of reg. unleaded in it. I have never put anything less than super in it. Would that cause the symptoms I am experiencing???
Hey JP,
I have to say that YES putting in the regular stuff over the premium can make the car feel weaker and not run like it used to feel.Been there and done that.If the symptoms dont get worse, when you get better gas,see how it runs then and report back.Ive sometimes seen night and day with the cars performance between different brands and grades of gas.
:)

Whats going on. Thanks for the response. Its not really noticable, my fiance thought I was crazy, but when your behind the wheel of the car you drive all the time and take very good care of you tend to notice the small things. Guess I'll run this tank of gas out and get some super back in there.
