You might find this interesting, hp numbers seem a little high but the gain of parts over stock should be accurate.

I am not a fan of the early optispark... more the high voltage side than anything else!

So... with that said, may I suggest a neat upgrade - the LTCC.

It's a small firm in Michigan somewhere that makes this thing. It uses a small brain box to intercept the opti signals and send them to one of 8 LSx coils (I have LS2 on there now).

After 10+ years, it has been essentially trouble free. I had more problems with the early LT1 harness plug... damned thing.

You can remove the opti, remove the rotor, seal up the cap and never have to worry about that again... unless coolant gets in, but if sealed right, that'll never happen.

it isn't cheap... but it is nice.

http://www.bailey-eng.com/LTCC.html should get you there.

His page hasn't been updated in a while... Taylor is a still a good wire, but I have the MSDs and with the LS2 coil, they work great.

I got my coils from www.eficonnection.com

He lists sunspec as a source of brackets, they are who I used and they are very nice. The LS2 coil requires a mod to make fit.

320rwhp can be obtained if the car is in good running order.

http://www.vetteweb.com/tech/vemp_06...k/viewall.html

With the addition of LTs and better flowing/deleted cats, you should be over 320rwhp.

Ditch the x-pipe. Go straight tubes out. It will sound so much more authoritative. I had an x-pipe and then just went straight out. Didn't notice any power difference but the exhaust note was much beefier.

I am glad you two posted those links. I liked reading them while I am trying to decide my plans for my '95.

They tested a lot of common upgrade parts. Some seem worthwhile and others don't.

Not if, but when you remove your water pump, you will need to install a weeper drain on the water pump..

This is how I created a drain hose for the water pump on my 92 LT1.
I first measured the weep hole in the bottom of the water pump.
I determined a 3/16" barb to 3/16" barb brass connector from Home Depot would fit in the hole if I decreased the diameter.
I chucked the connector up to the center stop in my high speed drill and laid it across a flat file. Spinning the connector against the file, I decreased the diameter of the barbs until they were just slightly larger than the weep hole size. I froze the connector, put a little sealant on the barb closest to the center, and used a small hammer to drive the connector up to it's center point. Put a hose on it and routed behind the Optispark wires.
Now when the water pump blows out, it will blow out to the ground and not all over the Optispark.

Enjoy the Vette. I made 420rwhp with the stock TB so "upgrading" that is a waste of money. With bolt ons, cat back, 1.6s and PCM for less I made 309rwhp.

I'm sure if I do it, it will be the last bolt on mod I do. But how do you know you wouldn't have made 425 or something more? Tuff to say it's a waste it depends on your goals I think. And I want a bolt on c4 that can run mid 12s@111-112

It was the last thing I did (52MM)and I made 423. To bolt-on mid 12s you'll need to bolt-on an H/C combo.

I think, know actually mid 12s is doable with bolt one lok. Like I mentioned. My heavier firebird with mostly the same mods went 8.2s@86.6 with 1.9 60s on street tires. I think the vet can at least better that some. And it will have a few little things the formula didn't. I know 8.2s are close to mid 12s don't actually have a 1/4 in my town.

Also car already had a k&n filter so I did the cut filter mod this weekend. I didn't drive it yet but there is now a pretty sweet sounding sucking noose now!

So I'm def going obx thats not up for debate. However, this place seems to have the cheapest ones? They also have a good rep on eBay yet they currently aren't selling these on eBay. Anyone have any opinions on racing parts depot?

If you have any plans of going with another cam down the road, I would use NSA rr's. The LT4 springs are good for the stock cam but if going bigger at some point, invest in some 918 beehives.

The underdrive pulleys won't yield much in the way of power. You may want to save that money and go with a electric water pump. The wp should be good for 10-15hp.
