Default Finally!(My first corvette)

So after owning a few lt1 fbodies I have finally purchased my first Lt1 corvette. let me say I love it already. It is a 1992 6 speed. It is black leather and red exterior. Lots of new parts that should keep me from doing anything but routine upkeep for quite some time I hope.
-It has 110,xxx miles and is stock other than a 3" SS Magnaflow catback(w/ resonator) My goals for the car are just maxed out bolt ons basically.
I had back in '08 a 95 formula with LT's, Cutout, 1.6rrs, ls1 k&n fipk and tuned. It made 310 rwhp and 349 rwtq and ran 8.2s@86.xx on street tires.
This vette already feels almsot as fast as it was when it had headers and the fipk( which was 8.5@84.

Basically just looking for opinions as to which mods to go for and to say hello to my now fellow vette owners!

Im thinking this for mods:
1)Straight pipes in place of magnaflow resonator
1a)Cut filter mod
2)OBX LTs
2a)160 Stat
3)Scorpion 1.6 SA RRers and Lt4 Springs
4) PCM4LESS Tune
5) Heres where it gets less important(TB airfoil, TB coolant BP if you do that on vettes, and maybe just maybe a 52mm tb)
-However 1-4 are more likely to happen.
Does this sound like a combo that can hit 320rwhp and 350rwtq? Since my none true dual formula did 310 350?

You'll have go add a camshaft change to your list of mods to reach 320 rwhp in a C4 LT1.

Have you found your RPO codes? They should be on the console lid or the rear compartment on the passenger side. Check for J55 brake package. They are the big front brakes. If J55, upgrade the rotors to drilled and/or slotted. If no J55, upgrade to J55 calipers and drilled and/or slotted rotors. That would be the first upgrade I would make.. I have EBC rotors on mine. Kinda noisey but stops really good.
Your RPO codes may reveal a Z07 package. Very few of those packages in a 92.

I don't think I seen z07 but it does have drilled/slotted rotors that the previous owner installed in 2013.

Welcome to the madness we like to call C4!

Already being familiar with the LT1 engine you may have already stumbled across this little gem on the net, but I though I'd link for you in case you haven't.

This is pretty much spot on for what does and doesn't work on the LT1.

http://home.insightbb.com/~nathan.pl...rformance.html

Now, for some reality. I don't know exactly what alot of new parts mean, but the car is 22 years old. So, before spending a good portion of your car budget on go faster parts, I might recommend looking at some of the stuff that keeps that power in control.

Shocks, and suspension parts, bushings, ball joints etc, and of course shocks. Someone mentioned the J55 brakes. I think you may already have this as I think all the 92-96's got this, but I'm not sure.

Then there is your clutch set up, of which many chapters have been written right here on this forum. ZFdoc.com is a great source of information, in fact 'the' source of info for this car's transmission.

For the rwhp numbers you seek, I agree, your looking at a cam as well as head porting to get you there.

Car in the last year has had a new clutch, radiator, drilled and slotted rotors, water pump, opti, tires, ac system, rebuilt factory head unit, and Bose stuff all new. Have all the receipts for all that.

As far as the numbers I seek I think its feasible to get close with bolt one as my 95 formula hit 310rwhp and 350tq with out a cam or headwork. I was hoping a 52mm TB, a true dual exhaust, and professional tuning would get me 10 more hp

Do you know which rear you have. The 3.07 rear helps with the seat of the pants feeling. I agree with the "make it stop better" first comments. Then I would make it handle better. After that I would make it go faster.

From your year up - yes. 3.45 was standard on manuals, best I know.

One year earlier, you'd have 3.07s.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-10792/overview/ Is this the appropriate x pipe to replace the magnaflow resonator for the lt1 3" SS system?

One thing you might want to check. The exhaust pipes on the LT1/LT4 cars are 2.75" not 3". Where the pipes go into the resonator, as well as the mufflers cut down to 2.5". This is on the stock system.

When I got my car, the very first mod I did was to eliminate the rear mufflers. I then found the resonance nearly unbearable on accleration. I replaced the stock resonantor with a Magnaflow dual in/out muffler that has an x-pipe in it. I have been very pleased with the result for going on 8 years now.

Car currently is stock other than it already has the 3" SS mangaflow catback. I just want what's the best x pipe to replace it for now?

Let me be the first to say, your back wheels are on the wrong side. Other than that, the car looks good!

Great looking car.

I like the LT1 6M cars too. It sounds like you are making some good plans for some mods.

Enjoy.

The GM3 RPO code would indicate 3.45 rear axel ratio (8.5in gear) and D44HD Differential
