1985 C4 error code 12??

1985 C4 error code 12??
Today i plugged in my gm scanner and the only code that is being given to me is 12. which would be.. the Check engine light blinked once, paused, then blinked twice and was followed by a longer pause and repeated itself. Could someone tell me what 12 would be for??

Error code 12 is "no Distributor Reference Pulses". That means that the engine is not running. It is used as a delimiter for the other error codes.
If you have other error codes you will get: 12 12 12 xx xx xx 12 12 12 <-- repeats over and over. Each code is flashed 3 times.
