Default h36 error code

I know that the h36 code is the beloved opti, but the thing is a dealership replaced it less than 5,000 miles ago. They fixed it, i took it back cause it seemed like it misfired, they said it was an maf sensor, and that it was fixed it sat for a year as i went thru legal things. Went to drive it and it did the same thing so i lied to myself and said it was something else replaced fuel pump and both o2 sensors and then checked code and got h36 but its got like i said a brand new distributor and water pump so im not sure. i dont want to invest in a brand new distributor if you guys have any suggestions please let me know! thanks

Your check engine light on now? You will always have a code 36 until you either disconnect the battery for a short time or manually erase the code. H means history.

Cap and rotor have nothing to do with a code 36. I consider myself and opti expert now

I had no satisfaction with anything other than a real GM unit. I put 3 on my car before getting it to run right. A used OEM fixed me up. I put a cheap one on a Trans Am and it's already been replaced once and another on another Formula is about to be warrantied.

Stay away from Petris. I have some pics of his products floating around here.

You could also double check the wiring on the rt hand side of the intake down to the opti.
