The other day my digital read out was saying: LO but the guage was reading (what I assume) correctly. As a result the car seemed like that put it in a limp mode. I'm guessing there are 2 sensors, one for the guage and one for the digital read out? Where can I find their location?
If the engine is an LT1, there is a digital temp sensor in the water pump, and the analog temp sensor is in the passenger side head.
Not quite sure about your question...... the digital temp sensor will only display a temp..... not "LO". Maybe you are describing the LO
coolant sensor..... which measures the amount of coolant, not the temp...... and is located in the bottom of the reservoir of the LT1.

The digital readout comes from the ECM/PCM which gets it's temp signal from the CTS.
As this is a major sensor for engine operation if it is faulty you will get limp home mode
Need to check the CTS operation
