OK I got the clips off and checked the injectors. Why is the right bank (all 4) injectors ohming out at 16.5 ohms and the left bank (all 4) ohming out at 287.9 ohms??? Am I doing something wrong? Has some other issue fried my left bank injectors?
I am learning FI as it breaks, so be gentle please. Reading the FSM, the diagnostic trees start with the Check Engine light, which does not work. Ive never investigated why, the car has always run well til recently and the scanner pulls no codes. This immediately makes diagnostic trees useless until I fix it.
The winding inside the injector could be corroded causing more resistance. But that is a ton of resistance. That is crazy. Something must be wrong here. I don't think that the injectors would be at fault, maybe something with your meter? Borrow another meter and test it again. Something is definitely wrong.

I agree. They are not connected to each other, so it is nearly impossible for ALL 4 to be reading that high. First thing I'd do is see if the previous ones still read the same, which is close to the spec.

The SES light connects directly to the ECM and nowhere else. If it is not working then the bulb might be bad (most likely) or there might be a problem in the wiring.
There is a section in the FSM on troubleshooting a "no SES light" situation.
Daniel, Yeah I am thinking the readings were wrong somehow and I will recheck today. I would think if the injectors fried out that they at least would have had a variance in the readings. Just odd all were 287.9. While my meter is a high dollar LG, its starting to show its age and lose segments in the display so it may be on the way out or hell, I might have just set it wrong.
Cliff I will follow the FSM and see what is up with the CEL as well. I am hoping the bulb is just burned out or missing. The PO had an idiot working on this car and I have been correcting things as I discover them.
NE Fla is experiencing a Gulf induced rain right now and my car plans are being delayed. Maybe I will catch a few dry minutes today to recheck at least that part and both the INJ fuses as PowerPig suggests for good measure.
Well I discovered something. If you dont look straight on to my fancy DVM the LCDs will mislead you. I guess where I had it sitting was way low and when I moved the DVM up closer to look it revealed it was actually reading 16.0 ohms. SO the electrical part is ok.
