Where are all the grounds located in the engine bay? I really need to make sure they are all on after the install of the new engine. I am having some major missing issues that I cant figure out!
I do know that some of the grounds on the bolt above the oil filter (G104 on that web page) were moved to a bolt on the top left corner (driver's side) of the bell housing. I have seen G104 as G107 on some diagrams, so the factory changed the numbering scheme.
[EDIT] Dt86 posted his reply between the time I started to answer and when I actually "pushed the button", so I didn't see his reply. That document was taken from my web site before I updated it. See my link for the latest info. [/EDIT]

when all else fails, go to the FSM!!! I'm assuming from your user ID, you have a 1990 model. if so, the FSM, section 8A, electrical diagnosis service manual supplement, ID's the grounds, and will cross-reference to the ground location within that particular year. for example, there is a top-down illustration of the car that lists all the grounds for the engine bay harness (e.g. G101, G103, G106, etc - looks to be about 10 grounds within the engine bay). from there locate the ground number within the detailed component location view. the information is very similar to what cliff harris has for his 86.
if you have the "jumper" post behind the battery, THAT is critical since it is the source of power for ALL the major engine control systems, ECM etc. I have cured a misfire by simply cleaning the terminals on that small post.
