Newbie 101 question here. Has anyone taken their dash pad off of an 89 C4. I want to put speakers in where currently resides a fake speaker cover due to the original Bose system. I thought I took out all the screws holding it in place. I don't want to force it risking a break.
Any pics or vids would be great!
Thanks.
Joe

Indeed it should lift up easily when completely free.
There may be some screws hidden under the tops of the dash & DIC panels??

There is only room for shallow tiny speakers, so unless your installing tweeters, I would leave the dash alone.

As usual I am finding all info and ideas from this forum extremely informative. Very shallow hi output speakers have been installed prior to my purchase of car..... However, whomever installed them just laid cloth over speakers and installed dash pad on/over them. Couldn't wipe dash pad without cloth slipping out of place.
I purchased correct fitting NO-BOSE replacement speaker covers to gain original look.
Thanks again
