another insturment panel question

1986L.
may have happened after install of new battery..took about 8 tries with quick on off with bolt and cable.
OK, lights are no longer bright. seems the flasher light(s) stay on but not flashing unless I want them to by engaging the system.Seems the RPM and SPeed light s are the most affected but perhaps that's just cause their more noticeable. thanks.

Does that mean it took 8 tries to get the cable properly bolted to the batt terminal??

yes, but that's a loose number. other things were going on when I was doing that(not corvette related).only reason I added that was it may be needed to know.

In that case I'd double check the cable contact with posts.

its not the battery nor the connection. just replaced the trans..thats why it was unhooked for some time.
