I had my car up on ramps and stands this morning, changed the oil, cleaned and waxed my rocker panels, and looked around under the car a bit.
'93 Coupe, LT1, auto. On the passenger side, the exhaust pipe just aft of the catalytic converter has a large symmetrical dent in it, running longitudinally fore-and-aft on the pipe.
Is this dent a factory feature?
On another note, my old oil filter also had a nice dent in it, and I *do not* remember bottoming out since the last time I changed the oil...
My 95 LT-1 has the same dent in the same pipe. Must be from the factory, though I can't figure out why they would want to restrict exhaust flow like that.
