this is a no brainer..ford..there have been more reports of problems with accel injectors than any other brand i've read about. i've tried the accel injectors and they won't even hold psi for more than 20 seconds when you shut them off. the ford injectors are similar quality to bosch/gm and MUCH better than the accel's. i'm sure you'll find someone who has accels and swears by them if you look hard enough however. it's kind of like tire posts, someone replaces there 5yr old tires with brand X & swears they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Ford SVO's, #30's are what 383's usually call for
Accel has had tons of problems.

I run the Ford SVO 30# injectors in mine - just beware that the Ford/SVO injectors reach their rated fuel delivery at 39 psi. If you run more/less fuel pressure you will have to calculate actual fuel delivery: divide actual psi by 39, then multiply by SVO # rating. E.G., 35 psi/39 psi all times 30# = 27# or another example: 43 psi/39 psi all times 30# = 33#
I run mine at 39 psi and adjusted the fuel trim in the computer.

Injector flow varies by the square root of the pressure change. So 30# injectors rated at 39 pis and are operated at 43 psi will flow sqrt(43/39) * 30 = 31.5 #.

what about 24# svos in a stock lt1. is it good to turn the pressure down to 39 psi?? i figure the shoppe had it too high at 46 or 47

i agree that is too high for a stock lt1 with disc injectors, car should be better about 39psi, the fords flow more at lower psi than the bosch gm design. i think the fords are rated at 38-39 psi where as the bosch are at 44psi-ish.

I use 24# Ford ones because when mine went bad they were cheaper..... very happy with them ....... lots of miles on them and all kinds of digfferent gas has been through them
