Bleeding the clutch?

Bleeding the clutch?
I have a 91 6-speed.
Normally when I bleed the clutch I remove the slave cylinder and turn it up side down to make sure you get the air out of the system.
But, when I bleed my brakes, I use one of those mighty vacs to self bleed the brakes.
Question is, can I use that mighty vac to bleed the clutch as it sits on the car? That is with the slave cyclinder still attached to the bell housing with the bleeder pointed down.
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Bleeding the clutch? (fastzr1)
Hello Ed,
I just went through this a couple weeks ago. I replaced both cylinders, and bleeding was a PIA! I finally borrowed a hand pump mfg. by Phoenix. You hook a small line to the bleed screw on the slave cylinder, hand pump the tool containg clean brake fluid, and it fills the slave, the line, and the master cylinder reservoir in reverse! It works like a charm, and you leave everything attached to the car. :hat

I have never seen this pump, but it sure sounds easy.
I'll have to check around for this pump.
Thanks again,
Ed
