I have a question. I am replacing the rear spring bolts and bushings and I am wondering why mine are different. Here is a picture I found of a regular C4 setup.....
Now, my spring bolts have the normal bushing shown i nthe photo above PLUS 2 extra bushings and a spacer that go from the bottom of the upper mount to the top of the spring.) Basically stopping the spring from being compressed past a certain point. Is this normal or an aftermarket piece? Just trying to put my diff back in and I want to make sure it's installed correctly.
Ok, cool thanks for the replies. Yes it's an 84' with Z51 and FE7 options. When I read about removing the leaf spring and it turning into a "U" I was a little worried about reinstalling it. But the spring really didn't bend much more than it already was... Maybe an inch or 2 down on the ends when unbolted. I was expecting a lot worse.
