Default Best engine replacement parts

I have a 1991 coupe L98.

My question is this.

From your experience what is the best spark plug for this engine?
And if I am going to do minor mods such as 1.6 Roller rockers, Headers, Exhaust and tuning with possibly a chip. Will it be a waist of money to go with the MSD or equivalent for my ignition, Distributor, Cap and rotor and plug wires?

Thanks for your input.

research it; there are a LOT of people on this site that have had unsatisfactory experiences with MSD products; personally? stock or near stock should be just fine

I am researching it. I have talked to some of the guys I know but non of them have the L98 engine. I'm looking for people with personal experience who have or have had these cars and done the mods. I find it better to learn from someone else's mistake's rather than my own. It cost much less. Lol..

Thanks for your help.

I have also looked around on this forum but find it hard to find answers for some of my questions. Just trying to cover all avenues.

I personally would not get too excited about working on the ignition system on the car as you will not be gaining enough usable RPM to really have a need to. A good set of rockers is fine (I've never really experienced a lot of gain from them myself except maybe lower oil temps) if you are going to be in there. Headers can help you out in the upper RPM range so if that's what you are going for that's a good one. As for wires, again you are really looking at parts that are designed with a little different user in mind. In most cases they will work just fine (I have a set of MSD wires on my 93) but really won't gain you anything unless your current parts are worn out. In my opinion if you need to replace parts that's fine, I wouldn't swap out a good OEM anything for an MSD though. Just my .02
