1988 auto trans fluid
I have a 88 vette with auto trans. I have been having trouble with a fluid leak around the pan area. one thing i have noticed is it takes more fluid then the manual calls for to reach the full mark on the dip stick. does anyone have any suggestion?

I'd make sure that the filler tube and the indicator are a match for the car. The indicator will have a part number on it to use for confirmation. If the pan has been replaced that could account for the more than expected requirement to "FULL". What does it take for a fill to FULL when the pan is dropped and the filter replaced?
