trans fluid

6 speed, about to change the trans fluid what is the best fluid to use and how much one or two quarts

Best fluid? That is probably up for debate.
Just don't put normal gear oil in your ZF-6

With that said, I am using Amsoil fluid.

I just did my transmission fluid on my LT4 car. I used the RedLine Shockproof Lightweight Gear Oil. I checked with Bill at ZFDocs and he said it was OK to use. Bill also told me that the plugs do not need any sealant just torqued to 26 pounds. 2.1 quarts of fluid. Have fun!!!
