Default Does nitrous "die"?

I have been leaving my bottle in my car. Temps in my garage go to about 100 degrees in the day to 80 at night. Is this up and down in temperature "killing" my nitrous? What I mean is does it loose potency? Seems like it does, but maybe only when getting low.

Do you have an eye on your bottle pressure when you are using it and it feels like it is dying?

BTW, when it is 100 degrees in there, what is your bottle pressure at?

I am not using N2O yet, I have picked up a couple of kits, I am going to run dual bottles and a fogger on my Super ram. I plan on getting it up to a 200 shot once I know what I am doing. But I am very worried about blowing the saftey valve on the bottles when it is 100 here.

Actually the pressures are about 900 to 1000 psi in the afternoon. I'm at work all day so I don't have my car, but when my nitrous gets to about 5 lbs left,(15 lb. tank) I still read 900 psi, but nitrous purges out only cool, not cold.

I have never noticed much difference. I store my bottles in the garage full and leave one in the car. Heck, I have had the same Nitrous in my bottles for over a year now (in one) and when I do hit it (rarely) it feels right.

Theoretically, I would not expect it to make a difference on one hand. The chemical makeup would have to be modified of the N2O. On the other hand, old medicine looses it's ability to work and is also based on chemistry.

If it does effect it, I would expect it to take many heat cycles to kill it though. A couple months minimum.

Just my thoughts, nothing proven.

I don't think heat cycles will affect nitrous. I do know that when your bottle is down to around 5lbs. you won't feel much of a power gain.
