Once upon a time my ABS light and ABS motor pulsated at 3 mph like it should. Now, The motor does'nt pulsate and the ABS light only comes on after about 5 minutes of driving. Anybody else experience this? I am not having luck in my manual and am getting no codes. Any help?
I had a problem like this on my Cavalier once. Although it would cycle at startup. It seemed that after cruising on the highway, the ABS light would come on for some crazy reason. I realized that the passenger ABS sensor wire got melted by the exhaust pipe once and I had bare wires showing. At highway speeds, the wires would get blown against the metal exhaust pipe and essentially short out, causing the light to come on a disable the system.
I hope that bit of info helps you piece together your problem.
I probably need to check the wheel sensors. Thanks.
And the connectors.
I read somewhere that the metal off the disc pads can build up on the speed sensors because of the magnetic pull and start throwing the sensor off. Check it out. Just a thought.
