88 Visor vanity mirror removal

Can the vanity mirror in the visor be removed? Looks like the front has some glue to the fabric but he backside will pry up just a little. This 27 year old plastic so advice is appreciated.

not really, the outer frame that holds the hinges and lights are held in by the mirror. on the backside of the mirror are 2 wedge cones that are pressed thru a fiber board that is your visor structure.

so when you try to pull those cones back thru your visor will probably self destruct

you can buy nice replacements without the mirror...didn't cost that much...mine were quite faded......

So I have nothing to lose by prying it apart, just make sure I need to have 2 replacements to order. I can deal with that. Thanks.

the replacements have there own arms....just take the screws out of the brakets and replace...takes five minutes....I just tucked the wire up in the moulding....
