92 LT1 engine knock
My 92 has 67,000 miles on it. Yesterday after a short drive I noticed a slight intermittent knock coming from the left bank at idle - engine was still at operating temp. Oil pressure is good. I use premium fuel (E-10) and no fuel additives. I replaced the plugs and wires at 60,000, fuel injectors at 63,000 and just installed new Optispark a few weeks ago.
Noise sounds like its coming from the top so don't think it's a rod bearing. The car is not driven hard and has been well cared for. New engine noises make me nervous. Could it be an ethanol problem... should I be using an additive? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
