Default Max throttle.

I want to run my C4 at the track soon. It's a factory C4 LT1. What I need to know is can I put the throttle on the floor, let the auto trans shift, and not worry about over revving the engine?
I always let the throttle up a bit to let it shift to avoid this!
Is the computer set up to keep the engine below redline if I want to weekend race?

It's a Corvette. You should be practicing full throttle runs on the way to work every day.

Trans isn't computer controlled, but should be calibrated to shift before over rev anyway. IF it doesn't, the engine has a rev limiter set to about 5800 so there should be no need to be overly concerned about the engine over revving.

I found that on my 90 L98 the tach gets no where near to redline. The tranny shifts around 4800 rpm.
