SES light-SYS code-Odometer stopped rolling

SES light-SYS code-Odometer stopped rolling
I hope this is the right place for this.
Bought my 91 6-speed in March with 88k. I've been driving it. All has been fine. It already had over 91k on it.
Yesterday, I drove it to work. Drove it to a friends house. I got in it to head home and the SES light was on. Then I noticed the SYS code where the avg mileage is. When checking the dash for my MPH it showed 0 MPH. I was running highway speed. A little while later I noticed that the odometer wasn't rolling anymore, either. When I got ready to pull it into the garage it died. Didn't want to startup. After the 3rd hit it started and I limped it into the garage.
Has the computer shot craps on me? or something else?
I would like the forum's thoughts before I take it to have it fixed.
Would very much appreciate any ideas and thoughts!
