With the AC on, the drag on the engine has been noticeable, especially when it engages, though it has not been locking up any that I have noticed. Well the bracket holding the tensioner on cracked right in half while pulling out of Burger King, temperature spiked up to 272 F before I could get it somewhere and let it cool. It appears that it bent the tensioner itself a little as well.
Where is the best place to buy the bracket? I see plenty for 84-87 but not seeing any for 88-91 so far.

I happen to have a like-new #10128419, which I think is an '89. Came off a new Vette being turned into a race car back in the day. Been on the shelf ever since. Can get you pix if interested.
Vader86.....did the whole bracket break into two separate sections? IF not, it can be welded. If you get a good welder who can weld aluminum, then the bracket will actually be stronger than new.
IF it is in two sections.....than go with the above.
