Default Pulling motor 86 w/ 4+3

Any tips about this specific trans will bellhousing clear input shaft
It is a racecar so... Which and easy is key and any spare parts left behind is a plus,or should I say neg weight reduction.. Lol
Wanting to leave radiator and trans in place. Hill tpis headers clear as it goes back in?

That is just what I did. Can't comment on the headers, as I installed them after motor was back in.

I have the 4+3 in my '87. I pulled and replaced the motor just like Agent did (with the bellhousing on, minus the Fram filter :-). Pulled the trans first so I wouldn't have to remove the hood.

Did the harmonic balancer have to come off first?

Balancer, distributor and plenum were removed. Trans still in.

So harmonic removed in the front
Remove fan from radiator
Plentom
Distributor
StockHeaders?
Unbolt trans from bell housing, and leave it connected to c beam and drive shaft?

You can leave the balancer on, just remove the pulleys. Take the cover off the wiper motor or you'll likely break it.
