Default help identifying torque conerter

84 auto corvette- i went to jegs last night and asked them for a 30 spline, lock up, 700r4, 3000+ torque converter. They gave me this one

http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...60436/10002/-1

Here is what was in the box.

Now this looks nothing like the one on the jegs web site, and if you read the description it says "Dual bolt pattern style for SBP(10-3/4") or LBP(11-1/2") flexplates" which you can clearly see in my up loaded pics is not on this converter. I have not removed my stock one from the car yet so i could be wrong but is this the correct one for my car, reason i think it is incorrect is the teeth are welded on the converter and i was thinking that the flex plate had the teeth for the starter. PLEASE HELP!

I'd say it's more than likely a Mopar convertor. There's others that use a flex-plate but I'd say the odds are that what you have is certainly that.

The number that's on the convertor is what?

Does the part # on the box match your invoice? Does your invoice match what you've linked to?

yes the part number on the box matches the receipt and the link I posted. Am I correct in thinking the 84 corvette 700r4 uses a flex plate with the starter teeth on it?

It's certainly not a GM convertor and the ring gear is on the GM flywheel/flex-plate.
