Default Tale of two headers.

Well, I am redoing the top end of my engine. I have two sets of headers, just don't know which ones I want to use. So, I am looking for some opinions.
I have a set of Vette Tech tri y's and a set of Maximizer HP 4 into 1.
The Maximizer has air connections, the Vette Tech are non emission. I'm not sure what kind of an issue it is to do away with the air injection on this car. I know it wasn't a big deal on older cars. But, air on this one also messes with egr. I wouldn't have a problem with removing it if it's not a big deal.
The engine isn't anything too wild. The cam is a Lunati Bootlegger 224hr, compression is right at 11.00 to 1.
I have test fit the Maximizers and they look like they fit pretty well.

You can get block off plates for the egr ports.Less junk underhood=easier to work on.My GUESS would be the tri-y's.Only a dyno would tell.I have made egr block off plates out of flat pieces of extruded aluminum.Lay a gaskit on-trace it and cut out.

Are you sure the one with the long collector is going to fit in the transmission tunnel of a Vette. It's got to go around the transmission oil pan.

space is at a premium in these cars, those try y's will cost you some cutting, welding and fabbing Im betting !
the side by side pipes as it goes out the back will be awful close to a lot of stuff and it has to be short enough to fit the Y pipe.
The shiny ones will be a lot easier to fit (if thats more important than power to you ?)

The VetteTech headers are long. The right collector is about where the end of the right cat connects to the y pipe. I haven't tried the left one yet. There is quite a bit of room once you get the stock coffee can sized cats out of the way.

Looking at the right side, I think the Maximizer headers actually have better plug access. Kind of hard to tell from the picture.
