With the automatic with a full manual valve body, you get the best of both worlds, the torque multiplication and no clutch pedal to worry about and no missed shifts that can happen with a manual and the crisp sharp shifts you get with the manual. The gear go put my Trans in no matter what rpm, it shifts!
Ahhh, couple corrections there. You aren't getting any tq multiplication at autox speeds, and the "sharp shifts" are actually a detriment to traction.
You DO get, less pedals, less distractions, etc....for sure.

So do i need to use a throttle vlv (TV) cable? Most comments i read on using those are negative compared to an electionic shift trans. I wanted a manual shift 4L60E but been told it takes too many internal modifications. I think a manual shift auto trans would be much more fun so i can bang the gears. And ya know we couldnt buy a ratchet shifter with reverse lockout for the electronic 4L60E. But i see B&M sells an adapter kit to use their shifters for the PRNDL switch on the 4L60E but that must be new as i couldnt find any just a couple of years ago. But i expect the 4L60E still needs internal mods to shift manualy. More than just a manual vlv body.
I race in ssm also and have been looking for a wing, so far all i have seen was the apr gt1000 and simon mcbeth wings. Im guessing you have the aluminum gt one here: http://www.meganracing.com/product.asp?prodid=773
any idea how much it weighs? I may get the same one and swap the main airfoil for one that I acquired. Also what kind of suspension do you run?

Yes, that is the wing I got except in black. I have a lot done to my suspension. Still run the transverse set up but have the VBP adjustable front with @ 1200lb rate and the rear is @ 800lb. I am going to get some different rates for the rear and try them out. I have double adjustable shocks at all 4 corners and 32mm frnt/26mm rear bars

How is the width of the wing, it's hard to tell in the pictures. Do you have a view from the rear, I would like to see if it's as wide as the car.
Can you post some pics of the full car from a side view. And maybe some diagonal off the front corner and then the rear corner? You only posted pics of the wing and Id like to see it more in context. Looks like you may have the only cool looking wing in existence on a c4 imo. They tend to look pretty rice tastic more times than not.

Yes, as soon as I can get it off the jack stands. Replacing a shift cable and waiting on the parts.

Most of my suspension items come from a guy that set up other C4's and my research here on the forum. Now I am starting to do more myself. I have a set of scales to help work on the balance of the car and I have true double adjustable shocks from QA1 to adjust compression and rebound independently. I am still learning. I will say that there is a lot of knowledge here on the forum so if you have a situation you want to address, post it and wait for the a wets to flow in.

I will have to politely disagree with this....You cant beat the enjoyment of a clutch when road racing and the worry is when the trans is a slush box.
Unless you are a professional racer and this is your means of putting food on the table then the .13 quicker you are with a dual clutch means nothing. You cant beat a clutch on a road race track for pure enjoyment and thats what counts the most......
for a dedicated track car, meaning one who's Vin number is no longer valid, or was wrote off, I can understand doing whatever mod a person feels like, as the car will never be fit for use on the road there for resale market for this vehicle would be very limited and the valve body like this May be appreciated by the buyers market. One thing to consider for vehicles on the street is resale if you ever decide to sell the car with a manual only automatic valve body, you would most likely be hurting resale value as the typical user would not understand the system. Personally I think it would be awesome to have a manual automatic transmission valve body, or whatever they're called.

Hope these give a good visual. I have added some extensions to the end plates to help reduce air stahling and increase the velocity of the air under the wing-
Yasss! I've been waiting every day. Finally a wing on a c4 that looks good. Thanks for pulling through with the pics! Hope it works for you. Now I just need you to get up to 170 and do some slaloms pleas to tell me if you are planted enough
