Hey ,
Found something interesting when data logging. My 1988 Vette went to 20.04 spark advance and stumbled when I accelerated. This was the value in my cold spark bias. This value works with the table coolant spark correction . Right?
Now this table had temp values which are not marked Celsius or F. My car is Canadian so I'm wondering if the computer is reading in Celsius and the table is in F. Then it would never see that the car is warm. Pulling spark.
This make sense?
That is the maximum amount of additional spark that can added to you main spark table based on engine temperature (20.04) degrees. The main spark table cannot accept any numbers less then zero so the spark bias table allows you to add or subtract any number up to 20.04 degrees from the base timing table. The main spark table plus the cool.comp.spark adv. vs RPM vs cool.temp table added together is your total advance.
