Got my converter installed!!
Well I got my vette back together about a week ago. Had the transmission rebuilt, and installed the new converter. (yank 3000) I havnt had it to the track yet. This is the first vehicle that I have had a high stall converter in so I do have a few questions. First, I set the TV cable per the factory service manual with a torque wrench, 71 in pounds, yada yada yada. The car is shifting at 5200 rpms now instead of 5800 like it did before. It could be the torque wrench isnt accurate enough that I used. 0 to 600 one in 25lb increments. The orig. govener was reused so I am a little stumped on this one. The shifts seem softer then before, but I was warned it might do this with the stall converter. I didnt use a shift kit, should I? Also I used mobil 1 synthetic fluid. One other thing I would like for it to do differently, is stay in each gear a little longer under part throttle. It did this before, but with the stall converter it is more noticeable, exspecially from first to second.

Mine did the opposite, it used to shift at 5000, now it shifts at 5500 and the shifts are much firmer.
