Default Forcing into close loop

1989. Auto trans, using 6E with tunerpro rt

Is there a setting I can change to shorten the amount of time before it goes into close loop after a WARM restart?

Yes. The problem would be to find that parameter...

From the $6E hac:

LC445: .db $6B
;Closed Loop Enable Temp
;Val = DegF / 1.35 + 40

LC446: .db $93
;Hot Closed Loop Timer Temp Threshold
;Val = DegF / 1.35 + 40

LC447: .db $49
;Cold Closed Loop Timer Temp Threshold
;Val = DegF / 1.35 + 40

LC448: .db $96
;Cold O2 Closed Loop Timer
;Val = Sec / 2.0

LC449: .db $67
;Warm O2 Closed Loop Timer
;Val = Sec / 2.0

LC44A: .db $1B
;Hot O2 Closed Loop Timer
;Val = Sec / 2.0

I can PM you my $6E xdf that has these if you don't know how to add them.

Yes, If you are using a tuning program it will be under scalers or constants, depending on which program you use.

I am just getting into tuning so I don't understand all of this

Does what you have listed shorten the amount of time after warm re- start?

Yes, LC449 and LC44A are the memory addresses that store the warm and hot closed loop timers, the other locations store the temperatures that these loops would be enabled. The hot loop timer lasts for 54 seconds. and the warm loop is 206 seconds. Here's a screenshot for how this looks when I right click on the hot closed loop timer scalar in tunerpro:

To add these to tunerpro, right click in the parameter tree and make a new scalar that looks like that for each address. Replace LC with 0x. So LC449 becomes 0x449 and so on. If it's set up right you should see 54 and 206 seconds for each timer when you double click on the scalar. You will be able to adjust it from there.

This is all assuming you don't have these scalars already. Look through your scalars and make sure they aren't already there.
