Default 4+3 clutch slave alignment issue

Hi guys

I have a 88 with a 4+3 Manual I'm restoring

I'm having a issue with the clutch slave cylinder and the fork
They don't line up

So as the slave pushes the rod it is pudding side ways
Like the fork is to short

How can this happen ?

It's a standard slave (from what I can see )

Someone has modified the rod

Any ideas

Thanks Dale

Pull the fork boot back and look inside to see if fork is properly seated on ball stud and release bearing.
Is this a new clutch install ?

Hi
No not a new install

I did remove the boot and saw that the rod was on a massive angle
From the slave to the fork
So I remover the slave and saw some one has modified the rod
And the fork just seems to short by around 20 mm
Fork looks like it's on the ball

Will be removing box to have a look next week

Any chance of a pick of someone's to see the slave to the fork alignment ?

I have measured from the ball to the Center of the rod hold on the fork is 92mm
Is this correct ?

Thanks Dale
