Default Replacing rear pads question

Replacing the rear pads on my 95. I have the piston compressed. The rear disc I have done before you had to rent a tool to turn in the parking brake. These don't seem to work the same way.

Am I missing something? Or do I just compress piston and good to go?

I haven't tried to install them yet. Gust getting them ready and cleaned up so I can paint. Just don't want to have to mess with them a lot with fresh paint on them.

You had to remove brake fluid reservoir cap and push Using piston tool or even gently using a pipe whrench with a tovel, in order to avoide any damage on caliper body and piston.

I bought the cheap brake compression tool from Harbor Freight. It kinda worked, but was a bit tedious. In the end, I went back to the old school C-clamp method.

Thanks for the replies. WW7 hit it on the head. Their was never a problem compressing the piston.
