Well naturally I went to Total Engine Airflow. :)
The guy you will want to talk with is the owner, Brian Tooley. He's been feeling bad for several days, so I don't know if he'll be there early this week, try to give him a call @ 270-782-6397

He's a good guy to talk to and work with. I know he has the actual chip burner, but I don't know what all he lacks to actually do any dyno tuning. I'm sure he'll be willing to help you any way he can. They are looking at getting everything needed to dyno tune LT1 / LS1 cars. He might can already do a TPI, I'm just not sure. Of course the dyno is always available regardless of if you can tune or not.

I'd encourage you to give him a call, or go to the website http://www.totalengineairflow.com and send him an e-mail. He does good work and I'm trying to send him as much business as I can. He might not be able to do what you want, but you never know until you ask.

actually, very good things Nathan! we are very impressed with your work! you have made some very smart horsepower! its not always easy to take a small cam like the Hotcam and make such great numbers, but ya gotta respect the guy who does it...extremely nice gains nathan, I owuldn't be suprised if there was still a little more from tuning, all the new air and fuel could start burning a bit sooner i would guess and it doesn't look as though your experienceing any knock retard, nice fat A/F mixture, might try throwing a small amount of timing at her, might be suprised what happens :), also i was wondering if you do your own tuning? if so shoot me an email, i have a few questions for you, as well as some more congrats! maybe one day we will get a chance to chat on the phone..lol after all we were part fo the original hot cam crew :) anyways, great number Nathan, and keep up the good work!

hey nathan, can I ask what it cost to have the heads done?
You can ask, but I can't really answer it well for you. I had done some computer work for Tooley in trade for the actual CNC work, which is the most expensive part. I also have a good friend who works there, he did all of the labor on his own time after hours, so that didn't cost me anything either. Basically I ended up paying for parts. My friend got me the parts at the shop's cost as well. So anyway, as you can see my cost isn't really an accurate representation of what it would be to duplicate the results.

TEA lists on the website $1500 for the CNC work. I know they were running a "sale" on their CNC work, I'm not sure if it's still going on. If they are still doing that deal it would cost about $600 for the CNC work. Then if you buy all the same components I have and tack on labor I'd say you can get them for around $1500-1800 but don't quote me on that, it's only a guess as I'm not sure if they are stilll "on sale"

The only way you can know for sure would be to give Tooley a call or E-mail him and let him know that you want a set of heads just like mine, and see what he says it will cost. I think you may be pleasantly suprised, Tooley is really good to work with, he might cut you a deal in an effort to get his name out there a little more.

He's real big in the Mustang world, but he's not real well known on the Chevy side, especially the LT1 side. He can do killer things for LS1's too.

also i was wondering if you do your own tuning?
Currrently I have an Ed Wright chip that was bought for the Hot Cam when I still had full emissions. It continued to perform well lwhen I ditched the cats, and still does so with the heads.

I am interested in doing my own tuning, but with the 92 and it's EPROM it's not as simple as the later models. I'm looking into what all is involved so I can see about it when I get some more money. The good news is that a friend of mine has a 93 Z-28 and he's in the same situation. He's got a guy that is going to burn him a chip but we are thinking of splitting the cost on the chip burner / etc. so we can do our own work.

My friend did all the work on his own time. I just paid for parts.
