"SYS" Light on '94 Convertible
I have seen a few threads on diagnosing a "SYS" light situation. I just bought a '94 convertible and took it out tonight for the first time. I noticed the "SYS" light by the gas gauge is blinking. From what I can tell it blinks 3 times then goes out for about 10 seconds and repeats itself. I do have an aftermarket stereo, but I would like to diagnose the real reason on why it is flashing. It runs great with no issues. Can anyone tell me if this "blinking 3 times then pausing for 10 seconds and repeating" means anything specific???

A first to do (since car is new to you) is have the battery (load tested) and the charging system checked for performance. Most auto chains can likely help you.
SYS can certainly hint a "charging/battery" situation.
I do believe that your after-market if not done correctly does the sequencing you mention. The link I thought mentioned it doesn't seem to be active any longer. I'll look further maybe. I'm quite sure it was a TSB but published well before '94 production.

Did you get a FSM with your purchase? FSM = Factory Service Manual
This isn't what I was looking for but this does it pretty well:
