94 intermittent rough idle and engine breaking up
All original 94 with 31kfor mileage. car will run fine then star a rough idle and engine starts to break up ( Like an old distributor with points). take a few minutes then clears up runs fine and idle goes back to normal.
Any ideas?

There's a good possibility the FPR (fuel pressure regular) might be leaking. Check the vacuum hose to the FPR and see if it's wet and if there is any fuel in it. If there is, then the engine is starting to rich due to the manifold being filled with fuel and then it burns off.
Check this first as it's easy before you go off into left field.
