Default 91 still won't start.

My 91 will start fine when it is cold, but after it warms up is just cranks and cranks. After testing everything I was told to test, found multiple injectors going bad. What is everyone using when they replace them? Don't want to use factory since I hear they are garbage(and they went bad after 13k miles anyways).

Thanx
Brian

Check your distributor. When mine went out, the car would stall after the engine warmed up and would not crank back until the car cooled down.

Dnt know if 91s have them but that's a classic sign of a coil going bad. Had a car that would just die on me. Started taking a bottle of water with me and poured it over the coil when that happened. Would start right back up. Of course, that wasn't a vette and the coil was external.

You can get rebuilt injectors and if that cures the problem, great. After all, you did diagnose them as bad. Still, stock injectors, if they are Multecs are bad since they are cooled by fuel and our new fuel with ethanol eats up the coil insulations. So, if they are not Multecs, they can be rehabbed but if they are, toss them.

As to your problem, when this is happening, check for fuel pressure and spark after you changed injectors.
