What I posted has happened about 6 times this year also did it today. Outside temp around 75-80 car temp maxed out at around 215.
Anyway will fire the car up in park and can hear it starting to act up coughing and misfiring so I press on the pedal and it gets worse like it wants to die but doesn't, after couple mins I accelerate in park put it in drive but it still sputters and misfires, this last for around 3-5 mins then goes away and starts running right.............. any ideas??

about the only answer I have right now is "no codes"
BTW forgot too mention when the car does get moving and acting up it also coughs and misfires, so looks like its shop time

My 94 would bog and backfire under the hood changed the o2s never ran better. Never put a code out.
might be an option before the shop, just curious why you would think its an 02 sensor??
Mine would bog and sputter then catch and run good I replace my front two o2s and runs great just a wag as I can not see it from here. How old are they? They are a maintenance item.
Might pull your icm and coil and have them tested. It could even be your opti but lets hope not.

have no idea the age of the O2s but could be the problem, the other stuff is a shop job for sure
Had the car out today and reached 80 degrees outside, the max temp went up to 225* and stayed their so thinking that's when the fans kicked in, not sure but seems a bit high but maybe that's what their programmed for, not sure?

My 94 fans come on at 228 and 238 when moving at freeway speed will run about 197 it ran a bit hotter before I cleaned all the crap that was sucked up for years in the radiator.

thats good to know Ant, I also just cleaned the surface crap of the front of the rad, so the system must be working ok altho those temps were a bit scary, but do notice a diff

I pulled some crap out even found a clark bar wrapper have not seen one in years. I pulled the radiator to flush the fins could not get it very clean with it in.
took the car out today to the body shop and 5 min down the road temp climbed from 201 then jumped up to 212 in another 5 min. so still don't know if thiers a problem with the cooling system, almost time to replace the thermo and see what happens
No to get the crap from inbetween and clean the radiator. Thermo is easy to get to just do not let your opti get wet. Right by your thermo is a connection you might want to check it is one of your temp sensors that one goes to your digital.
