Default Brake Help

I was sitting at a light when all of a sudden the brake pedal went stiff and rose, and the car tried to drift away. It now has no pressure at all. It feels like my booster went out, but it is less than a year old. I checked all the other hoses and lines and I do not see or hear any leaks. Anyone have a suggestion??????

Hmmm... could be that you lost vacuum going to the booster. Pull the hose off of the booster and see if there is vacuum on the hose. Could be the check valve also.

Oh, sorry, the check valve is the thing that actually connects directly to the booster. It should be white or yellow (at least mine was). If it's stuck, it won't allow the vacuum to reach the booster.

I believe my check valve is defective...it's a $4 part so I'm going to replace it in a couple hours...has stated above it's the piece that connects the vacuum hose to the booster though mine is black.
