Default fuel line path

hey everyone -

I have traced the fuel lines as best I could to the fuel filter and return line along frame rail and I believe under the belts (?) there is a rubber hose under those that heads back to the motor and then somewhere else - does anyone know where they go from there? I just ordered a manual but I am chasing a leak that I believe is at a rubber hose connection. But before I tear everything apart, I had hoped to have a little idea of where I was going and what I might need before I make a mess of things.

I see that zip and classic tube have stainless lines for the '85 but I was hoping to cut out the bad part and replace the rubber tube - at least until the new lines can be ordered. gas leak in the garage makes me nervous.

any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated

Sean

This is pretty much early C4 fuel line routing. '84 - '88. Is yours maybe already patched?

Questions?

thanks - I can not see behind the serpentine belt and ac compressor - I may be able to access the top nuts but there is a hose and some other parts on top of the compressor - I may try to remove that first to get to those then feed it out - otherwise I will need to remove the compressor and try to disturb as little as possible while in there -

does any of that sound feasible ? if there is a correct way I would try that as well

considering complete lines from classic tube - I was hoping they would have just the front sections for sale -

Classic Tube does complete packages and the way they've acquired some of their "unusual" applications is that they've used a customers old product to create tooling/creating bending shoes etc. Once it's confirmed as a fit then they'll sometimes add it to the available product. You sometimes need to call, they have way more than they catalog but they're specialty production runs. I've seen them do less than complete sets only a couple of times I'VE NEVER SEEN THEM OFFER A CUT/SPLICE OPTION - Theirs is intended to be installed complete. Can you cut? Sure.
