’92 LT1 EMI Problem
Optispark failed and was replaced with Petris unit. Car runs fine but I cannot clear the H16 code from the CCM. Tried new PROM and Opti harness but still cannot clear the code. I’ve been advised that the likely cause is EMI and replacing engine wire harness would likely solve the problem. That’s a huge job that I’m not ready to tackle. Would EMI cause unexpected shutdown or would I expect to see performance problems first? Is there an EMI Filter available? So far I’ve driven the car 2,000 miles with no issues. Any advice would be appreciated.
