Default 86 Vette won't start

I replaced the stock injectors with 42 lb. Mustang injectors. I drove it for 3 hours but it still ran rough, it wouldn't compensate. The next time it started it had smoke coming from underneath and from the dash vents. Now it won't start. I checked the spark at the plugs with a spark checker, checked fuel pressure with a gauge and the injectors with a tool made for that. Everything was OK. It has had the key resistor bypassed. Still won't start. Any ideas?

Call Jon at FIC and get the right injectors you just missed the sale. I would check your oil for fuel you do not want a grenade.

42 lbs is way too big. The ECM can't compensate for injectors that big. When you're in open loop mode the ECM will make the injectors pulse as if they were 22 lb injectors and put way too much fuel into the cylinders. You will run super rich.

Did you get a tune for the 42 lbs Injectors ?

If not, then you just flooded the Cylinders.

No I didn't. From what I read in forums the ECM would learn itself. Guess that was wrong, looks like I will have the originals cleaned, replace the o rings and reinstall. Thanks for all replies.

Stock Injectors are 22 lbs , you just doubled the amount of fuel being dumped into each Cylinder.

I am pretty sure all the plugs are wet. Pull them and check them.
