Is the throttle body spacer worth anything. They claim some slight increase of HP and mild gas milage increase. I know somebody has asked this already but I maybe didn't go back far enough

Somebody needs to mythbust these stupid things. In the days of Carbs and TBI, a "carb spacer" could make an improvement (depending on the combo) for a couple reasons;
1. The air path was "wet" (had fuel droplets in it) and had to make a directional change under the throttle plates. A carb spacer could help with this.
2. The plenum volume of a carb'ed intake is pretty tiny and many times, a carb spacer could increase that a meaningful amount.
No, a TB spacer on a MPFI engine isn't going to do squat. The plenum already has a large volume (space) inside it, and the air path is dry. Adding ~3/4" space between the TB and plenum mouth of the plenum is going to add a very small percentage of volume (meaningless) to the plenum area. Those things are wallet-lightening devices.

The spacer is 3/4" to 1" thick and fits between the TB and the plenum. For our cars, it does perform one thing...it lightens your wallet so the car weight is less therefore you can go faster.
The spacer and air foil do not accomplish anything. Save your money and spend it on a good tune up.
