ratcheting noise in first

Default ratcheting noise in first
i some times hear a weird noise when pulling away from a stop. sounds like a wratchet, or maybe pulling up and ebrake, or a loud electric fuel pump...seems to come from the front drivers side of the car but i could be wrong. noise doesnt persist, maybe 3 to five seconds...
any thoughts?

The first noise is the shifter from park to drive. Don't know if it's discern able on this recording. Maybe lasts for about a second once I'm moving.

If it only does it once when you put it in gear after starting it is normal. Just testing the ABS open the door behind the drivers seat you will hear it better. :thum bs:

Just bought it, only had one other vette, a 68 in 1982...

I think your good to go. It's basically self test for the ABS system. Will do it in forward or reverse after engine is started.

Learning curve much different than the 68. Get a FSM. What year?

Just drive the car and enjoy.
