anyone have advise on removal of the airpump on my 89? what needs to be changed out regarding the chip? any advise about after market chips that can be used and programed? novice about chips.
main concern is what removing the dual valve attached to 2 of the air pump hoses and what will the current chip do if this is disconnected.
any help or advise on where to go or who to talk to.
id like to next change out intake runners, add ceramic headers and go to a 2.5 exhaust. see if this will add some torque and better sounding exhaust.
Removal of the AIR system does not throw a code, you can just pull it off and put the eliminator pulley in its place, unless you wish to fab your own. Therefore, no chip worries, it will do nothing.
You can just put a plug over the valves in the manifolds.
