Default Kirkey seat

Hey c4 autox and track day folks. Anyone using Kirkey 16" seats ? I just bought a used pair and I was worried about the width but damn they are tall. 38.5 " . I'm not going to be able to fit them in the car until the weekend.

I have Kirkey 41 Series 17" wide seats in my 84 and they fit no problem.

OK I'm worried less. How do you like them and do you ever use them with the factory belts ?

The factory lap belt isn't going to work very well because the sides of the seat are really tall....

The seats came with a sparco slider which is shorter than the floor mounted seat studs. What type of slider can I use ?

Ok the seats will fit fairly close to the roof though. How did you guy's mount them ? The slider that's mounted on the drivers seat is only 15" long and the aluminum mount on the passenger seat is even shorter but the seat mount studs are a little over 16". How did you guy's make it work ?
Thanks

I cut a square 1/4" thick aluminum plate and bolted it to the factory studs in the floor. Then I used the Kirkey seat brackets bolted to the aluminum plate.

Not my car but very much like this:

I'm fairly tall and like a reclined seating position...... I needed the seat as low to the floor as possible so my helmet would clear the roof......

This guy made some seat brackets very similar to the Kirkey brackets. His are a little longer on the bottom so that they can bolt directly to the factory studs in the floor.

Vetteworks and C5racer.com makes some similar brackets that could probably be modified to work..
