Relacing/gutting cat.

Replacing/gutting cat.
I have an '84 vette...would like to relace my cat. converter instead of gutting due to CA smog inspections...
Which one would be a good performance cat.????
In Ecklers catalog on page 97 there is a "Super" cat.....but on page 95 is a "Super Flow cat" more money $309.99 ver's $149.99....which one is best???
Anyone used either???
Need help.....my vette has 87k on it...with flowmasters, chip, reworked throttle bodies.....etc....

I have an Auto Sound Hi Flow Cat in my 86. Can't tell you if it made a difference in performance. I had Flowmasters installed b4 the Hi-flow Cat and they did make a difference. I got the Cat replaced because I had a rattle in exhaust that I thought was the cat. It cost me $289. I still have the rattle. Probably the Y-pipe..... well, it must be, because that is all thats left to replace, ehhe.
