Are you sure you two are talking about the same shocks? Viking, you know Cjunkie is talking about KYBs, right? You didn't really pay $750 for a set of KYB shocks, did you?

wifey and i are building the car up for track days so i want z51 not kyb. gotta pay up!!
cjunkie, thanks for brainstorming and trying to help a guy out with costs.
I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record with this recommendation, but another very interesting and high-value option for good dampers is the Ridetech HQ and TQ series. These are adjustable monotube Fox dampers. If I were shopping for dampers today, for any use of a C4, I'd be giving these a serious look.
By the way both the Bilstein suppliers I linked to above have been found to be the best and cheapest members of this forum have found when looking for C4 replacement lifetime warrantee Bilstein shocks.
I have both links saved from previous CorvetteForum posts.

Awesome thanks for the link. I have saved myself some cash.
Again, cheapest Bilstein shocks I found that ship to Canada are from Corvette Central. I'm not sure what your deal is, but you have no clue since you don't have to deal with shipping costs to Canada.
I'm not very good at math, but the link you provided has a set for $370. Corvette Central has the set for $369, plus cheaper shipping to Canada.

Your right! I have no idea what Canadian shipping costs are.
For everyone else who lives in the USA try the links above for the lowest cost Genuine Bilstein replacement shocks for Corvettes.
I replaced my OEM Bilstein with Bilstein's and I am very happy with them. I hear the KYB is a softer DD ride. Not what I use my car for. I did put KYB on my Z/71 Suburban and they are soft on that. however no complaints.
I foud that Tire rack had the best price on the Bilsteins. my car is base suspension.
Thanks and I waiting for them they have been shipped.. It should feel excellent for sure... BILSTEIN SHOCKS ALL AROUND …. I will post once I take her out ….. I will post the shocks that was on them also... Thanks to all of you for the help.....
I have a model year 1986. I'm trying to find new shocks to replace the existing Bilstein ones.
All I need is the front, I already have the new Bilstein in the back.
I found Bilstein B6, Ridectech and QA1 from Summit Racing.
Isn't Bilstein B8 stiffer than B6? It is hard to find B8 any more.
